"Home Business Owners, How To Avoid Information Overload And Buy What You Need Only When You Need It!"
I've got to get this off my chest before I explode!
After you read this article, you're going to realize that you don't have to be a sitting duck for every
business and marketing sales pitch that promises you all this of wealth, with minimal investment in time, energy,
and money.
You see, I'm really steamed up and let me tell you why...
Over the years, I've purchased thousands of dollars worth of business resources, such as, marketing tools,
software, subscribed to various internet services, and etc...
Some of those resources were great and some were not.
One day, as I was cleaning up my computer's hard drive by removing software, ebooks, and other
resources that were either obsolete, didn't have a need for it, or didn't plan on ever using ever
again...
I thought about how much money I'd spent on all these products, but never used them.
I calculated the cost to several thousands of dollars that I'd wasted on those un-used resources.
My response was, "this is insane, what I'm I doing here?"
Now just imagine how much money I could've saved?
I bet you can relate to this scenario yourself.
Well my friend, that scenario is what's called information overload!
This is where you are constantly researching, reading, and planning...
But, you never actually get around to putting this world-class plan into action.
This information overload syndrome is linked directly to what's called paralysis of
analysis!
Where you become overwhelmed by all of this information that you continue to search for...
Thinking to yourself that you'll find better information on whatever topic you are researching.
All of this leads you to inaction.
This constant search for better information, whether it be for the best software solution, the best marketing
package, the best business opportunity, and etc...
Put's you in a very vulnerable and desperate state of mind.
If you are a business opportunity seeker or looking to grow your existing home-based business, you no-doubt want to
become successful.
And you've probably been burned several times with all of the marketing hype that surrounds most business
opportunities.
So, in your quest to become successful, despite the fact you've been burned, you remain optimistic by seeking that
business opportunity that will bring you a dream lifestyle you've always dreamed of.
So you continue to purchase marketing tools, invest in business opportunities, and other various resources...
And with you being in this vulnerable, desperate, never quit mentality state-of-mind...
You are now a prime target for all those business opportunities and resources marketing messages...
Whether legitimate or illegitimate.
Ethical or unethical.
Let me be clear on one thing...
Not all marketers and business opportunities are scams.
There are still great business people out there looking out for your best interest, you just have to know which
ones.
Okay, let's get back on topic...
Some unethical marketers will prey on those vulnerable and desperate emotions by slanting all of their marketing
messages to push your buttons.
They will promise you a dream lifestyle if you purchase their products.
Once you fall for the marketing hype that promises you all of those riches, you will be constantly bombarded with
an endless number of other products.
Now you are in this purchasing mode...
You purchase product number 1, product number 2, and so on..
But where does it end?
Ask yourself this question...
Why should I purchase that other product when I've never used this one?
Or why should I purchase anything else, if I haven't taken the time out to master the product that I already
own?
You see, no one product or service is going to make you successful.
Think about it.
You're home-based business is comprised of many different components, such as, your website, traffic generation,
content creation, prospecting, accounting, legal aspects, and etc...
My point is, you have to master several areas to build a successful business and if you continue to purchase
products, but never used them you're going to stay in that infinite loop.
How to get yourself out of this time wasting, information overload state-of-mind, and stop being taken advantage
of?
I'll tell you the biggest reason you continue to fall for all those business opportunities and product
messages that promises instant riches is because you most likely lack focus.
I'm speaking of the lack of focus in your business.
Let's get to the point here...
If you want to avoid being taken advantage of, you must first develop a "business
strategy."
By the way, A "business strategy" is simply the way you envision how you want you business to look in the future
when it's where you want it to be...
A "business strategy" is also referred to as a "big picture strategy."
Why?
Because it is the filter you'll use to filter everything that you do in your home-based
business...
Such as what to purchase?
What resources do I need right now and in the future to grow?
What legal business entity to use to protect your personal assets?
What kind of marketing is best suited to your kind of business?
How much money will you need to operate your business?
Who are my real competitors?
Who could you partner with to help you grow your business more efficiently?
I could go on, but I'm sure you get the message.
Now, by knowing what you wanted to accomplish in your business first, don't you think that you'd only purchase
products and services that you need and avoid those that you didn't?
Absolutely!
For example, someone tried to sell you a course on Pay-Per-Click advertising, but because you already have a
blueprint of where you want you're business to go, you can see where you are in the building process to see if it's
appropriate at this time...
You could look at your "marketing calendar" to see what date you plan on launching your Pay-Per-Click advertising
campaign.
After looking at your marketing calendar, you discover that you want be launching it for another 6-8 months down
the road...
Then why spend the money on a course that will most likely be obsolete, as there maybe a more up-to-date version by
the time you're ready to invest in it?
Now, you've just used your "business strategy" to filter (saved money) to prevent you from prematurely spending
money on a Pay-Per-Click course that you weren't going to use for another 6-8 months or maybe even longer, because
we know that things in life doesn't always go as planned.
You could save money or allocate it to some other part of your business or personal life, pay a bill or
something.
Now do you see the difference on how you'll operate by developing your "business strategy" first to use a powerful
filter.
The other benefit is you'll not only save time, energy, and money, but you'll build your little
empire faster because of this razor-sharp focus.
This focus leads you to putting all of your energy into one business instead of becoming a jack of all
trades and dabbling in this and that business opportunities.
This lack of focus will never allow you to become successful, at least not to your full potential.
My advice to you is that if you're thinking of buying another marketing or business product, don't!
At least, not until you engineer your home-based business strategy.
Don't worry if you've never created one before, because...
I've painstakingly created a 7-Day eCourse that walks you through the exact steps you need to take on
creating your own home-based business strategy...
